Nursery 2 go for an autumn walk!

7th Oct 2022

"We're going on a leaf hunt,

we're going right away!

Let's find colourful leaves.

It's a wonderful autumn day!"

We have been learning all about the season of autumn in Nursery. Miss Caithness read us the story 'We're going on a leaf hunt!" at circle time and then we all arrived at Nursery this morning wearing all wellies to go on our very own leaf hunt around our school!

We found red leaves, yellow leaves, brown leaves and orange leaves. We even found some mushrooms growing and apples on the trees in our school orchard!

We then went up to our school nature garden to make leaf kebabs and cosy nests for our hedgehogs so they can hibernate all winter.

When we got back to Nursery we had circle time and looked at all the different leaves that we had collected. We talked about the different sizes, shapes and we even sorted the leaves into colour groups! Miss Caithness then got our magic blanket out and we moved it up and down and watched the autumn leaves moving and floating.

Such a busy and fun day learning all about autumn!
