With the beautiful spell of mild weather last week Year 5 made the most of it and got to work with Mrs Throne during outdoor learning. Pupils helped to rake up the strimmed grass and used it to mulch under hedges, apple trees and rhubarb as it helps to reduce weeds, retains moisture, feeds the soil and of course helps with our goal of zero waste and a circular economy. Year 5 had so much fun. They found lots of wildlife: hairy caterpillars, slugs and butterflies. Pupils worked so hard, we are so proud of each and every one of them. Well done Year 5!
