Forest School in the Spring Time
What a beautiful morning we had for our first Spring session with Ciara, our Forest School Teacher.
We loved going on the big bus with lots of things to see as we travelled over to the Playtrail.
We had such a busy morning with lots of things to do and see. We used our binoculars to look for signs of Spring, including finding some birds, seeing new buds starting to grow on the trees and finding new flowers.
We then talked about the different types of trees, and we even did some tree hugging, feeling the tree bark and talking about how they feel, rough, smooth, bumpy etc.
After this we then went to the pond to see the frogspawn and talk about the life cycle of a frog. This was very exciting as we could see the frogspawn moving in the water!
Ciara also had different play activities set up for us to play with.
To finish off we had a play at the park before coming back to Nursery.
We can't wait to back and visit Ciara again.
