The boys, girls and staff all came to Nursery today wearing their brightly coloured clothing and odd socks to show their support for World Down Syndrome Day.
We celebrated our differences and similarities. Whilst the patterns or colours on each sock differ, as chromosomes counts do between those with Down Syndrome and those without, there are more similarities.
They are made of the same materials, have the same shape and importantly have the same purpose. Each sock performs it's role equally well, and works even better with the other by its side!
The children and staff all donated some money, and all the money raised will go to The Foyle Down Syndrome Trust.
What a great day we had celebrating how special each and everyone of us are!
