As part of our 'Sharing from the Start' Programme with our partner school Holy Child Nursery we had our final session together today. We headed off on the bus to the Butterfly Farm at Tropical World, in Letterkenny.
What a fabulous day we had there. We walked around together with our friends and their teachers from Holy Child seeing all the different animals, creatures, dinosaurs and of course those beautiful butterflies! It was really hot in the butterfly garden. We were amazed to see all the different butterflies with their different colours flying around the garden. We got to meet some reptiles including a snake called "Scarlett" and a lizard. The children also got to touch/hold "Gary" the snail. He was a very big snail!
After this we played at the play park which had lots of different play equipment for us to play on.
After a busy morning we then sat and ate our packed lunches. Once our tummies were full, we then said our goodbyes to our friends from Holy Child and we got back on the bus again and came back to school.
It was a great day out! We hope to see our friends from Holy Child again soon.
