We had great fun making pancakes in Nursery. We talked about what a recipe was and the different ingredients that are needed to make the pancakes. We measured and mixed them altogether and the batter was ready for the pan. Jack thought the batter was”runny like icing.” We talked about how the hot pan would change the batter and make it firmer to spread on a yummy topping! The children chose butter, jam or lemon juice and sugar - the favourite was jam! The pancakes were gobble up in no time and Lily said “Miss Caithness, your pancakes are the best!”
We sang songs about pancakes and got out the magic blanket to toss the pancake into the air!
We finished the day by reading Mr Wolf’s Pancakes. The perfect end to a busy day in Nursery!
