Play along with Miss Caithness - Not a Stick!
Hi everyone!
Today you will need a sticks of any size and whatever craft materials you want!
Before we start to play, look at the stick you have chosen. Is it a long stick? Is it a short stick? Can you measure something with your stick? Have a look in your house and see if you can find something that is longer than your stick. Have a look in your house and see if you can find something that is shorter than your stick. Is your sticker longer or shorter than your leg? Is your stick longer or shorter than your arm? Is your stick longer or shorter than your foot?
Sticks are brilliant! Sticks can be whatever you want!
Get your grown up to go onto YouTube and search for the story ‘Not a stick’ by Antoinette Portis. Listen to the story.
Now, you need to use your imagination and turn your stick into something fabulous, so it’s ‘not a stick!’ Maybe it’ll turn into a magic wand or a fishing rod or something else that rabbit didn’t think of!
I found some sticks in my garden and when I was out for a walk with Mabel and I have turned them into a few different things! Have a look and see what I did,
