Today, Monday 28th November, seen the current football squad compete in the first competitive blitz of the season. With the top 2 qualifying from the group of five for the champions league stages, all was to play for. First up we luckily secured a one all draw against tournament favourites Hollybush PS. In what in truth was a one sided contest, Ebrington equalised late on against the run of play thanks to a goal from the ever alert Mcnair. Game two saw us defeat Steelstown 3.1 to put us in a commanding position with two games remaining. Our third match was against local neighbours Oakgrove. In a pulsating game the boys played superbly and ran out 3.2 winners. With a point to secure the first trophy of the season, once again the boys scaled new heights defeating a strong Holy Family school 3.1. A fantastic achievement for the boys to secure their place amongst the city's elite in the schools Champions League.
