The weather wasn't on our side this week, but that didn't dampen our spirits! We had another fab session with our friends from Holy Child Nursery.
The children went for a Spring Hunt around the playtrail. They were given little pictures of items and had to find the match. They just loved having a 'treasure hunt' and we were able to reinforce and extend the vocabulary associated with Spring.
The children heard a rustling in a big pile of leaves and it was a hedgehog and 5 baby hedgehogs! The children worked together to build dens for hedgehogs using the sticks and leaves that they found in the forest.
Ciara and Emma wheeled a big tub out and we couldn't believe what was inside. The first tub had lots of vegetable scraps and the tub underneath was filled with soil. Ciara put her hands into the soil and pulled out lots of wiggly worms! The children had a go at holding them and feeling them wiggle on their hands!
We cant wait for next week!
